To determine the wear degree of a bearing, you can comprehensively judge through the following methods and standards:
1、Fault Manifestations Uniform or non-uniform wear occurs on the raceways of the inner and outer rings of the bearing and the surfaces of the rolling elements, leading to increased clearance, abnormal noise during operation, and increased vibration.
2、Judgment and Maintenance Methods （1）Minor wear: After cleaning the bearing, check if the surfaces of the raceways and rolling elements are smooth. If there are only a few slight abrasions on the surface, it can be judged as minor wear. In this case, apply special lubricating grease and continue using it (applicable to low-speed and light-load working conditions). （2）Severe wear: It can be judged as severe wear when the wear causes the bearing clearance to exceed the allowable value (the clearance standards vary for different types of bearings; for example, the radial clearance of deep groove ball bearings is usually 0.01~0.1mm, and specific values should refer to the bearing manual), or when there are obvious pits and scratches on the raceways or rolling elements. For severe wear, the bearing must be replaced.
